About NVivo

What is NVivo?

NVivo is a powerful qualitative data analysis (QDA) software designed to help researchers analyse and organise data derived from qualitative and mixed methods research such as interviews, focus groups and surveys. It is designed to help researchers and students manage, analyse, and visualise qualitative data efficiently. You can import different types of data, including PDFs and other documents, survey responses, articles, notes, web content, social media content, images and photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and citations.

At Bond University, we are currently subscribed to NVivo 14.

If you are a staff member or higher-degree research student (HDR) seeking access to NVivo Transcription or NVivo Collaboration Cloud, please contact the Associate Dean of Research or Research Development Manager in your faculty to discuss funding.

Access NVivo

NVivo software is available to install on work and personal computers for both Bond University staff and students.

There are two ways to obtain NVivo:

  • Staff can download the most recent version of NVivo to their work computer by downloading it from the Company Portal.
  • Staff and students can download NVivo on personal computers through Bond Support. Please see the IT knowledge article How to: Get NVivo for your home PC or laptop.
