Accessing resources

Accessing the Resource List from iLearn

Your Resource List is accessed from your iLearn subject site. There are multiple ways your educator may provide a link to the list within iLearn:

1. From within the content area

Links to the list, sections or resources within the list can be added by your educator to the main content area in your iLearn subject site. Keep an eye out for the Resource List icon.

2. From within a document

Links to the list, sections or resources within the list can be added by your educator to an iLearn document. Keep an eye out for the rocketship icon.

3. From the Books & Tools menu

You can always find a link to your Resource List from the Books & Tools menu in your iLearn subject site. This link is automatically created in every iLearn site.

Once you open the Resource List from iLearn, you will see resources are sorted into different sections such as Prescribed resources, by week, by module, etc.

Each resource will provide a link to access the item online, download the PDF or where you can find the physical item in the Library.

Tags will be added to the resources to guide you on what to do with them as per your educator’s instructions. The available tags are:

  • Prescribed resource: indicates which resources are essential for the subject.
  • Recommended resource: indicates which resources are beneficial if used.
  • In-class resource: indicates that you should wait until class to use the resource.
  • Class preparation: indicates resources you should access before coming to class.
  • Assessment support: resources with this tag could include material that will be assessable, or support assessment, such as a 'how-to' video.
