From databases
- Library SearchSearch for all types of information resources. Most of the library subscriptions are indexed and searchable.
Become an expert user with the Search and find library resources guide.
- Go to Library Search
- Seach for information on your chosen topic
- Click the three dots at the top right of the title you wish to export
- Select RIS - ENDNOTE & MENDELEY
- Select Download

Multidisciplinary database specialising in academic journals, magazines and newspapers, many with full text and images.
- Go to Ebsco
- Seach for information on your chosen topic
- Click the title of the article you wish to export
- Select Export from the Tools menu
- Select Direct Export to in RIS Format and click Save
- Google Scholar This link opens in a new window
Provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature.
- Go to Google Scholar
- Search for information on your topic
- Go to Settings
- Select EndNote from the options next to Show links to import citations and click Save
- Go back to your results list and choose Import into EndNote
OVID .cgi file type fix
Occasionally the file type (.cgi) generated by OVID (MEDLINE or PsycInfo) will not be automatically set to open with EndNote. If this occurs, the following message will appear when trying to open the file:
Please follow these steps to set EndNote as the program to open the file with:
- Right click the .cgi file and select Properties.
- Select Change next to Open with:
- Choose EndNote from the list of programs (you may have to choose show more to see EndNote).
- Choose Apply and Save. This file can now be imported into EndNote.
