Searching for reports

Library Search

Enter your topic or keywords in Library Search. After your search results appear, use the Content Type filter for Reports to refine your search results. Optionally, you can expand your results by choosing the Government documents filter as it may include government reports.

Web searching

Government reports

You can search or browse a government department website for reports. This can be done within the website or from a search engine such as Google, by adding site: in front of a site or domain, alongside any keywords or topics in your search.

Often reports are published as PDFs, you can add a format type using filetype:pdf to return only PDFs.

Stakeholders and associations

Identify associations by searching for your topic along with keywords related to associations, such as 'association' or 'organisation'.

Example site search:
(sustainable development goals) AND (association OR club OR group OR professional OR organisation OR NGO)

To find papers on your topic on your chosen website, add your topic keywords before the site: search string.
